A few days ago, the news of Meera Jee being put in the mental hospital in the US was all over the internet. Her mother also appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan for her discharge from the hospital. Meera finally came forward to talk about her incident with BBC Urdu.
About the incident, Meera first responded very angrily. She said this whole incident was a lobby against her to bring her down. It was to slander her character and bring her stardom to shame. She was then asked about her visit to the New York Brooklyn Hospital, on which Meera said that she went there to get vaccinated. To prove her answer, she sent a video of her getting vaccinated also. The interviewer felt that Meera took the time to put a story. After that, she also directly asked about taken to the psychiatric hospital, to which she said that she cannot talk right now because everyone was sleeping in her house as it was already very late in America. She expressed that she could not talk in detail.
Well, the conversation with Meera Jee did not end here. She took to WhatsApp where she comfortably told the whole incident. She claimed that she was being subjected to mental torture in America. She told that she was very depressed which is why she visited the hospital. The hospital mistook her for being mentally ill. She said that they also confiscated her phone. The hospital refused to recognize her state of being depressed.
Meera told that she was in the hospital the whole night and screamed for help which no one listened. It was a really scary night for her. Meera’s mother then appealed to PM and Sheikh Rasheed for helping her out. When Sheikh Rasheed’s phone call was made to the Pakistan Embassy, it was then her discharge was possible. She was only released when Pakistani Embassy requested the hospital.
Meera rejected the fake news of her being deported from the US. She said she travels to Dubai on her own as she is ready for the shooting of a Pakistani TV Show there in UAE.
