In 2018, during the #MeToo movement, Meesha Shafi filed a case against Ali Zafar for harassing her. the case is still in court as the claimer isn’t following up with the case. Ali Zafar also filed a case against Meesha and 8 other people for defaming him publicly without any strong evidence. As Meesha hasn’t appeared in court, the Times of India has claimed that she is sentenced to jail for 3 years in the false accusation case.
